Sij is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Bankers Association of Zimbabwe and Executive Director of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe.
He is Chairman of Agribank, Cell Funeral Assurance of Zimbabwe, Chairman of Board of Trustees of a Public Sector Housing Fund and Treasurer of Childline Zimbabwe.
Is former Managing Director of Zimbank and Head of Syfrets Corporate and Merchant Bank. Has also served as Chairman of National Social Security Authority, Chairman of Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe, Chairman of Oxygen Industries, now BOC Gases and Chairman of Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.
He was Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance as from 1980 up to 1984 and has worked in the Private Sector as Accountant for National Breweries, General Manager of Tobacco Sales Floor and Managing Director of Caribonum (Private) Limited-
After completing his degree and postgraduate studies in Education from the local University in the late 60s’, Sij taught at various High Schools before doing his Articles with a firm of Chartered Accountants. He is a Chartered Secretary and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe.
